Boardroom: Active-Speaker Camera Switching

A Q-SYS platform coordinates audio processing, video distribution and room control. One wide-angle ePTZ camera and two optical-zoom PTZ cameras provide three camera views, with automatic switching based on the active speaker. The system uses the room’s ten existing table microphones, eight ceiling speakers and two displays, supported by new microphone interfaces and network audio amplification.

Conference Room: A Complete Teams Meeting System

The conference room pairs a customer-provided 75-inch display with a PTZ camera, a table-mounted digital network microphone and four ceiling speakers. Q-SYS processing and amplification bring the room’s audio and video components together.

Consistent Controls and Laptop Connectivity

Both rooms use Q-SYS UC Compute Bundles with Lenovo ThinkSmart Core computers and 10.1-inch tabletop touchscreens for Microsoft Teams Rooms. USB-C connections at the tables provide bring-your-own-device functionality, while Q-SYS NV-21-HU network video endpoints and NETGEAR M4250 AV switches support signal transport.

Engineering Through Commissioning

AV Planners delivered project management, system engineering, installation, programming, bench testing and commissioning. The completed installation gives Yokohama Tire two rooms equipped for Teams collaboration, with room-specific camera and audio configurations and shared approaches to meeting controls and laptop connectivity.
