Korean Air Conference Room AV Integration in Los Angeles
Korean Air partnered with AV Planners to upgrade the audiovisual system in a conference room at its Los Angeles headquarters in the Wilshire Grand Center. The project combined professional audio, three PTZ cameras, QSC room control, touchscreen operation and AV connectivity to support remote meetings and in-room presentations.
Conference Room AV Equipment
AV Planners upgraded the conference room with audiovisual components designed to improve in-room presentations and remote meetings.
- 80-inch display: The existing Korean Air display and mount were relocated from the 11th floor to the 29th-floor conference room and installed at the front of the room.
- Conference room audio: A ceiling-mounted, digitally steerable array microphone was installed to capture speech around the conference table, supported by six ceiling-mounted speakers for room audio.
PTZ Cameras and QSC Conference Room Control
- Three PTZ cameras: Three cameras were positioned for the room’s horseshoe-shaped seating arrangement and programmed to focus on the active speaker.
- QSC / Q-SYS control: A 7-inch touchscreen on the conference table provides control of room functions including power, mute and camera settings through the QSC Core system.
- USB connectivity: The conferencing computer interfaces with the AV system through USB 3 connectivity without requiring special software or drivers.
AV Cabling and Infrastructure
The conference room infrastructure included pathways and connections needed to support the AV system.
- 1.5-inch conduit between the floor pocket and credenza.
- 1.5-inch conduit between the ceiling space and credenza.
- Floor-pocket connections for HDMI and Cat6 connectivity.
