Leave it to industry leader Crestron to improve upon a widely solution, by now supporting audio over IP by integrating Dante’s networking protocol seamlessly with their DigitalMedia switchers. It’s going to be a game changer.

Dante (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) is a combo of software and hardware tech that allows audio over Ethernet. While many companies have integrated this technology into their products in the past, the announcement of Crestron finally supporting it in its DigitalMedia switchers will disrupt the industry…or at least raise the bar for unified collaboration technology.

It’s uncompressed, multi-channel digital media networking technology, with near-zero latency and synchronization that has consistently proven to be the most popular solution for several products in the audio chain. In the case of Creston, its new input and output blades for 64×64 and 128×128 DM matrix switchers. Now shipping, the 4K HDMI (4:2:0) and Dante Input Blade for DM Switchers (DMB-4K-I-HD-DNT) provides eight HDMI inputs, while the 4K HDMI and Dante Output Blade for DM Switchers (DMB-4K-O-HD-DNT) provides eight HDMI outputs with built-in 4K scaling, as well as a CEC embedded device control which is possible with the addition of a control system.

The union between the industry leader Creston and professional audio favorite Dante will without a doubt bring some competitive innovation to the market!
