How long is too long for HDMI Cables?

Although wireless technology is constantly evolving, may prefer to avoid connectivity and network issues by opting for the traditional and dependable hard wiring. When it comes to HDMI, experts know that the longer your cable stretch, the greater the chance of experiencing some sort of problems with signal transmission, especially as higher resolutions such as 4K become more and more common.

Crestron’s line of extenders offer a convenient and reliable solution that supports Full HD, Ultra HD, and even 4K video for wires that run up to 300 feet. This is impressive, as we suggest no more than 30ft to avoid signal dropouts!

The Crestron HD-EXT3-C will ensure your high-definition digital audio and video signals are properly transferred in their full resolution. Their HDBaseT technology delivers without compression and requires no configuration or programming with a receiver and transmitter linked using just one CAT type cable. The HD-EXT3-C also extends control signals from IR and bidirectional RS-232, making it a great part of a complete Crestron control system.

And the best part? It’s ready for the future. Supporting the latest Ultra HD, 4K and Full HD 1080p resolutions, it also handles 3D, Deep Color, and HDCP2.2 so you’ll be ready for any updates or requirements later.
