Client: Entertainment Company

Location: Ontario, CA Distribution Center

Warehouse Size: 600,000 sq feet

Project Overview: AV Planners was contracted to install a new Public Address (PA) system at an Ontario, CA distribution center. The goal was to enhance the clarity of announcements and provide background music capabilities throughout the extra-large warehouse.

Objectives:

  1. Improve the intelligibility and coverage of announcements.
  2. Include functionality for background music.

System Features:

  • Speakers: 40 QSC Acoustic Design speakers mounted around the warehouse for even sound distribution with eight control zones.
  • Announce Station: Located at the front desk, a QSC ZIP4-3G page station with a Shure gooseneck microphone provides clear announcements with simple operation.
  • Central Equipment: Installed in the Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF), a QSYS Core 8 Flex system processor and CX-Q amplifier manage audio inputs, streaming music, and zone control.

Installation Plan:

  1. Preparation: Coordinate with the facilities team to make sure a smooth installation process is going well.
  2. Speaker Installation: Mount QSC speakers and run cabling neatly along the ceiling.
  3. Announce Station Setup: Install and test the announce station for functionality.
  4. Central Equipment Setup: Set up the central processing and amplification equipment.
  5. Background Music: Configure the system for streaming background music and ensure balanced audio levels.
